Surface Grinding Technology
With surface grinding technology, parts are mounted to a
moveable chuck and processed by a single grinding wheel during
each pass of the part under the grinding wheel. Material is
removed in very thin layers from one surface of the part at a
time.
Dimensional Control
Surface grinding provides precise
dimensional control of overall size and part feature
relationships.
Surface grinding can be used to achieve better dimensional
control and higher surface finishes than are possible with
Blanchard grinding.
